2025 Grand Canal Cycling Series – Huai’an Xuyi Stage
On July 6, 2025, the Tianquan Lake Tourist Resort in Xuyi County, Huai’an City, Jiangsu Province, was bustling with excitement. With the sharp crack of the starting gun echoing through the sky, the 2025 Grand Canal Cycling Series – Huai’an Xuyi Stage officially kicked off. Over 400 cycling enthusiasts from across the country gathered by the picturesque Tianquan Lake — known as the “Thousand Island Lake of Jiangsu” — to compete fiercely in a 17.5 km looped race around the lake, challenging their speed and endurance.
At the race site, riders shot out from the starting line like arrows, with the whirring of tires and the enthusiastic cheers of spectators blending into a thrilling symphony that electrified the entire venue. Ultimately, Yu Xuebin of the Blastwave X-Riders Team demonstrated exceptional strength and strategy, decisively winning the Men’s Road Masters category. His lightning-fast sprint across the finish line perfectly embodied the event’s spirit: “Every kilometer the wheels conquer is worth it.”
Yu Xuebin Dominates with Authority for the Blastwave X-Riders
As a core summer stop in the 2025 series, the Xuyi stage drew strong participation across four categories: Men’s Road Elite, Men’s Masters, Women’s Road, and Open Touring. With the theme “Colorful Ride Along the Grand Canal, Chasing Dreams on New Tracks,” the course circled Tianquan Lake, offering riders a scenic route through sparkling waters, lush forests, and vibrant wetlands—like pedaling through a living ecological painting.
In the Men’s Road Masters race, Yu Xuebin seized the lead from the very start, relying on precise tactics and superior endurance to maintain a commanding position throughout. Undeterred by constant pressure from competitors, he responded calmly and, with strong teamwork, powered across the finish line with a standout performance—highlighting the formidable strength of the Blastwave X-Riders Team.
This race was more than just a showcase of speed and adrenaline; it was also a vivid celebration of Grand Canal culture. Through cycling, both riders and spectators immersed themselves in the unique natural beauty and rich heritage of Xuyi. Looking ahead, the Grand Canal Cycling Series promises to attract even more riders to explore the land by wheel, chase dreams with passion, and let the vibrant spirit of cycling merge with the enduring charm of the Grand Canal. We look forward to the next stage — where we’ll ride together once again with fellow cycling enthusiasts!
